SSD Firmware Upgrader
=====================
The purpose of this app is to allow user to upgrade SSD firmware on ACI switches
without requirement to upgrade the NXOS software. This is for bug ID CSCvx19640.
This app will:
- Check if node requires a SSD firmware update
- Upgrade SSD firmware as a fix for CSCvx19640 (TAC needs to provide root access)
Usage:
-----
1) In Settings tab:
Enter ssh admin password
Enter root token (provided by TAC)
Click the Save icon (it is a small icon above the word Connectivity)
Note: If a valid root token is not provided, user will not be able to upgrade.
admin password is required for checking if upgraded is needed
2) In Devices tab:
Select node(s) and click Check for upgrade
3) If Upgrade is required, select node(s) and select Upgrade
Notes:
-----
- Standby sup cannot be upgraded until it becomes the Active sup.
- When root token is provided, script will use smartctl to verify SSD version
- Cisco recommends all SSD firmware upgrades be performed in a maintenance window.
- If error condition 128 under Temperature_Celsius is displayed, user will
need to reboot the node and try again. If error condition 128 is still
displayed after a reboot, please contact TAC
